Matt Foster
- Matt kicked off his career working as studio assistant for EMI Music Publishing near the publishing giant’s west end HQ. It was here that he cut his teeth on projects for the likes of Jamiroquai, Primal Scream, Elastica, Blur, Jazzmatazz, Guru and Bluetones, to name a few. Matt then departed EMI for pastures new to further his experience. Working for a unique variety of great studios. During this time he sat side by side many top artists, producers and engineers learning the craft of fine record making. Upon gaining his stripes Matt manned the board for many successful single and album releases leading up to the Millennium. Including singles from Whitney Houston, Tin Tin Out, The Corrs, Goldie, Grant Nelson, Double 99 and Jungle Brothers with albums from Audioweb, Bows, Nine Yards and Damage.
The new millennium saw Matt team up with industry legend Morgan Khan (Street Sounds) and new label MWA as Chief Engineer. Here he worked on many album, single and TV/Film projects, all the while gaining valuable insight into the inner workings of the industry from street to corporate level. Hanging out in specialist record shops, testing mixes in club land, sitting in on meetings with pirate and commercial radio producers and DJs, remixing tracks, developing sound for TV/Film/Advert projects and generally pushing the studio to the limit was all part and parcel of working for a successful independent label. Matt then returned to the life of a freelancer but continues to work with Morgan from time to time on various projects.
In recent years Matt has built on his already impressive CV writing, producing and mixing with a wide variety of artists. Gaining an extensive list of credits on material from Lemar, Cold Cut, Gorillaz, Swiss, Ms Dynamite, Mr Hudson, The Darkness, Akira the Don and getting to work with Hip Hop legend KRS One. The variety of music Matt worked on in this time has seen him enjoy mixing up programmed and live recordings to exploit his talents in the studio. His unique enthusiasm, ambition and constant drive to expand his skills coupled with obsessive attention to detail and fast work rate make for great sounding innovative productions.
- Engineer, Producer and Writer
- Matt's technical skills were called upon early in his career, with engineer credits on hits from Whitney Houston, The Corrs, Jungle Brothers and Audioweb. His feel for creativity and technology are the perfect union for producing music, with his sound defined by project rather than formula. As seen in recent projects with Coldcut, Akira The Don, The Darkness and an expanding repertoire of BBC ident music.

- Another endlessly creative dude. A mass library of musical knowledge. You gotta love this guy for his passion. I reckon ATD will soon be knocking mixtapes out by the hour. It’s great for me to get my hands on his tracks, often adding some programming and finishing off his mash ups. We always seem to be on the same wavelength and share similar tastes in music, which helps us to work well as a unit. It’s a great example of two guys working to their strengths.
L i f f o r d
- Lifford is a vocalist/writer of immense talent with a work ethic to match. When we work together there is often a creative friction, which I’ll admit I’ll occasionally provoke. I find it’s a positive tension that gets us both motivated. I love the fact that we have different influences and those influences infuse to form something I wouldn’t be able to achieve by myself. I’ve worked on many of Lifford’s album tracks and have co-written and produced a number of tracks with him. We are looking to gain further exposure with our unique material for other artists in the future.
Morgan Khan
- I’ve worked with Morgan for a number of years now, and see Morgan as a kind of mentor. His background in the industry is legendary, and he has that ability to motivate and inspire people that many great producers and A & R people have. I’ve learnt so much from working with this guy about striving for the best possible results and not accepting anything less. As well as respectfully admiring but not revering anything with too much respect.

- Probably one my most longstanding collaborators. Imran always comes at things from a different angle. This provides him with endless creativity. We both love working with different genres of music, and aim to defy being defined. Currently Imran and myself are stirring things up in the world of music for the screen both big and small.
W a t e r s o n
- Waterson writes great songs and it’s a pleasure to work with someone who has great communication in his music. I first met him when I mixed his debut album, since then we have written together and collaborated on a variety of music. Another dude with a left-field angle, which means we’re always going to get along.

- After much industry competition to sign the youngster, Sony record executives heard Perretta's demo tape, and signed him to a five album, seven figure, worldwide recording deal to Columbia Records, aged 19.
In May 2008, Perretta joined Mark Ronson on a three week European Tour, where he sang The Smiths hit, "Stop Me."
Perretta signed an exclusive publishing agreement as a songwriter, with Universal Music Group in early 2008. He is currently working as a songwriter writer on various projects for other artists both in the UK and U.S.
His debut album is due for release early 2009...
